Site: CL: Caravan Club Members Only Woodland clearing with a trout fishing lake
Turn left into farm track off the A283 Guildford to Petworth road about 3 miles north of Petworth. About 30 metres up the track turn left. The site entrance is 50 metres further on
There are no facilities apart from a water tap, dustbin and toilet emptying area.
The
best pitches, possibly 3, all depends how others have sited their vans, are over
looking the lake which is at a lower level than the rest of the site, also not over
hung with trees.
I stayed for 1 week and found some good walking places. At the time I was there August 1996 the British School of Ballooning were operating 2 fields away and was fascinating to watch. For the photographers out there, this would be a good opportunity.
I found it very peaceful, long walks to pubs, nearest big towns Petworth & Guildford. Good for peaceful breaks & fishing.
( I'm not a fisherman, so I couldn't comment on how good the fishing is).
